It would be nice if you could add the option to set the gravity/jump height of the players on any map you make, and use basic trigger blocks. Im trying to make a map where the blue side has to reach the end while the red side tries to stop them, and it would help if they didnt jump everywhere. it would also be ideal that the red spawns get closer to the blues' position (why trigger blocks are needed). I am able to do the map without these additions, but it would help!
First of all, I like your concept for the map, and I appreciate the effort you put into making it. However, I am very skeptical about the features you mention.
As for the trigger blocks, do you mean blocks that perform a certain action when you touch them? I'm afraid that would take a lot of work from my side, especially now that I am working on the online multiplayer. Making action blocks would be close enough to making a new Garry's Mod (I mean, it would be cool, but is far from my currently set goals).
Making adjustable per-map gravity and other options has been mentioned before. So far, I avoided adding it, because it would cause uneven player experience. When you get used to a certain gravity, suddenly changing gravity throws players out of the game expertise they have gained by habit, and this frustrates them.
I'm sorry for not being much help, but please undestand it's important for me to consider the work/gain ratio for any proposed features. I like your suggestions and wish I could immediately get them done.
Super fun! only thing i noticed was the sniper is very hard to use and get kills with, but other than that the 2D and 3D gamemodes are very fun to play! Recommended!
First, check that you are indeed in TDM. When you hold down Tab, you must see two lists of players (one for each team). If there is only one vertical list, you are not in Teams mode.
If you really are in teams mode, then this is a bug. Try enabling colorblind mode in Options, this should at least change the team colors to black and white.
As it seems to me, though, you are probably in FFA mode and haven't chosen Teams for some reason.
It takes a lot of experience and experimentation, you only need to keep trying! Some tips are to use the copy/paste functions, the rulers (press R) and axis locks (press X, Y, or Z).
so i started playing and i made this map called wooden house base, when i desided to play on it, i saw some things that i havent edited on my map and it just made the map look insane!!
First of all, congrats on making such a great map :)
Secondly, yes, these edits where made by me. Specifically I added top and side windows to let more light in, as the map looked kinda dark with the current game lighting.
I should have let you know about the edits before making them, sorry.
Please let me know if you want me to revert the edits.
I need some help that I can't upload my map to public it says put your name in even tho idid everything and filled I everything it still won't let me canyon please send a video on how to do that?
no i wanted to create a map and upload to public it says i need a uploader name even tho i filled in my email, name and map name can you please help me?
So for the capture the flag i played one game and every time my team or enemy team gets a kill the score goes up by 1 so that might be a bug and when ever i capture the flag it goes up by almost 20 so you might want to check that out.
for vehicles you might want to add some terrain like trees, lakes, houses so it will be very fun to play on.
next the juggernaut level might be a good addition because it will be fun when multiplayer comes out.
almost forgot you should add some amour so you have some protection.
and also add a shop system which will allow you to get guns permanently you get cash by fighting online which i suggest you do when online comes out.
and also please notify me when the next update comes out
The game's behaviour should be the same regardless of what map you're playing on.
Can't promise anything about the multiplayer release, there are lots of issues that may delay its completion. Please remember that this game is a project I work on in my free time, which varies constantly.
I'll do my best to make the multiplayer global, but I'm not sure if it will be possible without employing costly services, which I want to avoid.
hate to jump in, but id oo know that flags still appear in team death match and let you score. dont know if this is a gug or on purpose, just wanna point that out
Indeed, I noticed that too afterwards. It's a very annoying bug and I am very sorry for not noticing earlier. And thank you very much for pointing it out.
Ok you might be right about this few things i kind of didn't think the payload mode through tho you are right needs big maps and lot's of understanding on how to make it.
Weapon customization and character customization a good thing for a game like this.It will make your game look more colorful and alive.
what about if you add vehicles and if a person makes a flat map of which you can fall off you may add a check box in the settings which will make invincible falls so you can't fall off.
What about a juggernaut level in which team is against another team both teams have a juggernaut which has lot's of weapons, health,Armour but moves slowly and both teams have to defend their juggernaut.for the capture the flag can you make it the team that gets up to 5 flags wins and not by the most kills. Finally you might want to make the jet pack look better than a black box.
I might sometimes loose of what i am thinking and write multiple comments instead of 1 so sorry hope it didn't get you too confused about what i am writing ;)
I mostly agree with you on the weapon / character customization part, so I will think about it.
Vehicles are also something I consider adding. In that case, I would probably add support for arbitrary terrain in the maps so that they can be vehicle-friendly. Lots of work to get it done, but will probably do it sometime.
Juggernaut level also seems a good idea but I will have to think it through thoroughly.
As for the CTF game, I thought the score was based on flag scores, and kills didn't count. Have you noticed something else? It may be a bug.
And yes, I should improve the jetpack graphics. Completely forgot about it. Thanks :)
The next update will most likely be focused on multiplayer. This means that I probably won't be working on other new features until that part is done.
Weapon customization and skins are a possible addition, but they would require a lot of work, so it would take a while until we see them done.
Payload mode is very unfitting for a game like this; it requires maps especially built and thought-out for this specific purpose. I don't plan on adding this feature, though I might reconsider in the future.
Minigun is among the additions I intend to work on.
By the way, please prefer to write a single cumulative comment rather than multiple comments one after the other, it tends to create some confusion :)
I really love your game. Maybe you can make a online mode and do skins and things so you can put in micro transactions and make good money with it. I really like if there is coming an online mode.
Online mode is my main goal to achieve in this game. Not sure if I would want to add micro transactions, but I might try it and see if players are positive towards it.
Hi I gave a Review on your game before and sense i loved it so much i made another video on the game! I Really hope this game becomes a big hit! because i love it!
Saw your previous video, enjoyed the new one too! Happy to see you like the game, and I really appreciate the videos and your kind words! Hope the best for your channel too!
I have been trying to get the map editor to be as intuitive as possible, but I need user suggestions to do that! How do you think it could be made easier?
I'll look into Trouble in terrorist town and Prop hunt to see what you mean, although I think I already understand. Party games is what I had in mind for the multiplayer.
As for the maps, I really recommend downloading them if you can't use the downloader, see the page for map downloads for that.
Hi! This game is a really cool game! I like the concept of the game and would be awesome if more features are added and I made a video on youtube in INDONESIAN! Check it out! TERIMA KASIH!
Sorry for the delay! Daily life obligations are constantly keeping me from progressing this game all the time.
There's been progress, but multiplayer isn't easy to implement. Lots of bug fixes and performance tweaks need to be done.
I am planning to release a LAN-only version as soon as possible (don't know when that will be, though), and hopefully an online-multiplayer version will follow later on.
Can't say for sure. Multiplayer modes, which I'm working on, are a lot more difficult to develop. I thought they would be ready by now, but it turns out that they need more work than I expected.
Next update could be ready in anywhere from 2 weeks (at best) to 2 months (hopefully less).
Still in progress! I hope to get it done soon, but can't give precise deadlines as debugging takes an unpredictable amount of time. Keep in mind that it will be networked play, not splitscreen.
The map editor sure isn't simple, but you need to be more specific. How do you think it could be improved?
Stamina-limited running would be a good feature to have, but I am considering to only add it as a separate mode for now (something like "realism mode"). Same goes for fall damage (currently there is none).
Also please remember that there are many other features planned which require a lot of work, so implementing anything you ask will certainly take a while!
to be honest, for the splitscreen mode, you could change it to any image such as a jungle or a desert since it is 2d. However, for single player I'm not really sure since it's 3d and you can't really just upload a picture to the background. As for area suggestions, I would say maybe a jungle or forest, a desert or a facility at night with search lights moving around.
The thing is that, since each user map has a completely different theme (except for the more generic ones), choosing e.g. a city background would be unsuitable for a jungle themed map. Thus, it needs to be a more generic background.
I could allow each player to upload their own backgrounds for their maps, but this would create inconsistent aesthetics throughout the game (and you can't trust the players to always upload good quality images).
I will put some thought into what would make a better background. Until deciding, I find it best to play safe and keep the generic skybox. Please endure it :)
Maybe you could add a certain option in the map maker in which the players choose a background from a selection of backgrounds that you placed in the game?
Edit: I definitely still enjoy this game without backgrounds, this is only a request to make it even more enjoyable
you know what you can do you can like make a weapon mixer it's basically like, you take a weapon that is already their for example the sniper rifle and then combine it with an RPG and it will become a missile firing sniper rifle, wouldn't that be cool?
Add more game modes like:capture the flag, payload, control points. Will that be possible?Cause right now the game is kind of boring with only teams and free-for-all game modes, I would work on this before making multiplayer.
CTF and Control Points are possible. I guess it would be a good idea to add them, so I will include them into my planned features list.
I think you may be right about FFA and Teams being kinda boring, but still I will keep multiplayer in priority, since it is halfway done and I can't compile an update without finishing that. I should have planned things better, but multiplayer has been often requested before so it was about time to roll it out.
Thanks for the suggestions though, they are honestly very helpful!

It seems like you added colors, and even a CTF gamemode.
feeling hyped to start making maps for it again.
Glad you like the changes! More of them are underway!

How can you tell if on TDM if a stick is an enemy or ally? They are all black
Weird, that's not how they are supposed to be.
As it seems to me, though, you are probably in FFA mode and haven't chosen Teams for some reason.
Let me know if this helps please!
I figured it out.I want in TDM XD
Thanks, I was worried this might be a bug, no problem then :)
I LOVE THIS GAME!!! STICK VETERANS > CS:GO
:')
nice new updateI really need some guides to how to make maps I am having trouble making maps like this guy has!!
It takes a lot of experience and experimentation, you only need to keep trying! Some tips are to use the copy/paste functions, the rulers (press R) and axis locks (press X, Y, or Z).

dont worry, I like it and I will keep it. It makes it look much greater!
Very happy to hear that :)
Hey GamerX69 can you upload it o I can play on it looks pretty awesome
It's called "wooden house base.ssm" and it's already uploaded, you can use the search box in the maplist to find it more easily!
I need some help that I can't upload my map to public it says put your name in even tho idid everything and filled I everything it still won't let me canyon please send a video on how to do that?
What message does it show? It should be telling you the reason why.
Also, you don't need to upload the map, a screen-capture should be just fine.
no i wanted to create a map and upload to public it says i need a uploader name even tho i filled in my email, name and map name can you please help me?
That's weird, maybe it's a bug. I'll look into it as soon as possible.
Hey Seragamer, I haven't been able to find any problems with the uploader. Is the upload still not working for you?
so I just tried it and now it works I don't know what happened.
That's relieving to know, thanks!
So for the capture the flag i played one game and every time my team or enemy team gets a kill the score goes up by 1 so that might be a bug and when ever i capture the flag it goes up by almost 20 so you might want to check that out.

thanks again junkbyts :)
I just tried CTF again and I don't see the bug you noticed. Score only increments when you score a flag.
I would be much obliged if you uploaded a video showing what happens in your game.
As for the rest suggestions, they all sound good, but I will think about them after I'm done with multiplayer.
I created the map myself so I don't know if that does anything.
so when is next update coming possibly next 3 month?
is multiplayer going to be world wide or local?
The game's behaviour should be the same regardless of what map you're playing on.

These were my update ideas good luck and hope you make some great updates!!!
so for next update can we have weapon customize ,skins, vehicles, payload game mode, actual mini gun. Is that possible?
Because if you do that this game is going to go on a whole new level!!!
Thanks for your suggestions!
By the way, please prefer to write a single cumulative comment rather than multiple comments one after the other, it tends to create some confusion :)
I know i havent posted a comment here for a long time and i am a bit late for update sorry but well done mate!!!
I knew you could do it man well done congrats with new update!!!!

Thanks for the feedback!
no problem, I am really enjoying your game.
Love the game! Super simple, but addictive!
Always happy to hear positive comments! Thanks and good luck with your projects too!
everytime i run the app and it start to crash, :( and i don't know why.
Does it show any errors or just the standard crash message? Also, what operating system are you using?
If you are on Windows, please go to the folder StickVeterans_data, open the file "output_log", and send me its contents.
Can't wait for multiplayer!
Awesome video, really enjoyed it! Great map making skills too! Keep up the good work!
How do you do slow mo? cos it says caps lock and it doesnt work :( and I'm on mac
I confirmed this is a Unity bug on Macs. Unfortunately this means you must wait until the next game update, where I will have fixed it. Sorry :/
Thanks a lot for letting me know!
Will there be an easier Map making editor? I've got a great map in mind but its too hard with the current version aha
I have been trying to get the map editor to be as intuitive as possible, but I need user suggestions to do that! How do you think it could be made easier?
this is my gameplay video i hope you liked it!!
Great video, really enjoyed the funny commentary too :) thanks for sharing, best of luck to your channel!
Good game !
Glad you liked it :)
Hey junkbytes, I played the game it is been doing fine but how do I access the multiplayer online thing? Or is it not ready yet?
HanzlaAhmed
Not ready yet, sorry! Working on it!
i really enjoyed playing your game! i would highly recommend to anyone to get this game! 6/10
Glad you liked the game! Thanks for making this video!
Thanks for the kind words and the suggestion!

I did a video o this game check it out great game
Thanks a lot for this video, nice playing too! Best of luck with your channel!
thank you very much
i will be following your developing carer and if you make another game making another video on it.
glad to hear that, will be happy to see your videos when I do!
My Video :3
Looks great, expert playing too! :)
I just uploaded an updated version of this game, I'd be happy if you checked it out!
So Thanks for your reply. You are made a amazing game :3
Hi! This game is a really cool game! I like the concept of the game and would be awesome if more features are added and I made a video on youtube in INDONESIAN! Check it out! TERIMA KASIH!
Video looks great! Thanks for making it and for sharing the game!
Your welcome! I hope the best for your games! :)
;)
Ya you are right, anyway I am not going to hurry you take your time.I hope you succeed in making this a great multiplayer game.
Thanks for your understanding, and for your kind words :)
i gave you so much ideas
Indeed, and thanks, but no matter how good an idea is, it takes a lot of time and effort to make it come true.
Thus, I have to put priorites on some ideas and postpone some others.
Next update, like I've said, will focus on multiplayer, and more features will come in the following updates.
soo when is ready the new update??
Sorry for the delay! Daily life obligations are constantly keeping me from progressing this game all the time.

I have a request i cant delet map ssorry iam french
Yes, I should put a button for this.
At the moment, you can go to "C:/Users/yourname/AppData/LocalLow/Junkbytes/Stick Veterans/maps" and delete the maps you don't want.
j'ai le meme probleme que toi
Thanks for the suggestions!
Also please remember that there are many other features planned which require a lot of work, so implementing anything you ask will certainly take a while!
Unfortunately there is no easier way to get 3d map design done. At least not something I know of. I think these will help you:
I think the layout is as simple as can be, really. No way to fit so many options otherwise.
Still, if you can think of specific ways in which it can be improved, by all means let me know!
This Game is great fun. But, I only have 1 request. Is it possible if u could add a background instead of keeping the grey empty unity background?
Good suggestion! I kept the unity background because it is good as a "generic" background that fits any map. Any ideas what I should change it to?
to be honest, for the splitscreen mode, you could change it to any image such as a jungle or a desert since it is 2d. This is a pretty good idea, I guess. I will try to include it when I make the colored maps feature too. Thanks!
